Epitalon is not FDA-approved. There is one piece of current news worth knowing: on 24 July 2026 the FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted to recommend Epitalon for the 503A bulk drug substances list, alongside BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c and Semax. That vote is a recommendation, not a decision. It is not binding on the FDA, the agency’s own scientists had recommended against adding any of the seven peptides, and the substances still have to be formally added before anything changes. As things stand today, nothing about Epitalon’s legal status has changed.
Epitalon vials are commonly reconstituted with bacteriostatic water — sterile water with a preservative that lets a multi-dose vial be entered more than once. The choice of liquid does not change the units-to-draw math: the calculation depends only on the milligrams in the vial and the millilitres you add. Which diluent to use is a question for your pharmacist; the arithmetic below is the same either way.
Epitalon amounts are quoted in whole milligrams rather than the few hundred micrograms typical of the growth-hormone peptides, so the arithmetic can land at or beyond the top of the barrel. In the second example below, 5000 mcg works out to exactly 100 units — the entire 1 mL syringe. That is a useful signal rather than a problem: it means the vial was mixed thinly for the amount being measured, and a smaller volume of liquid would give a more comfortable number to draw. If your own math comes out above 100 units, do not split it across two draws on the assumption that is what was intended — stop and check the mixing with your pharmacist.
The two-step formula is:

Example 1 — example only; your vial may differ, confirm with your pharmacist. Suppose a vial holds 10 mg and you add 1 mL of water. Concentration = 10 × 1000 ÷ 1 = 10000 mcg per mL. If someone were measuring a 5000 mcg amount purely as arithmetic: 5000 ÷ 10000 × 100 = 50 units. This is a neutral illustration of the math, not a recommended dose.
Example 2 — example only; your vial may differ, confirm with your pharmacist. Take the same 10 mg vial but add only 2 mL. Concentration = 5000 mcg per mL, and the same 5000 mcg becomes 5000 ÷ 5000 × 100 = 100 units. Same powder, same amount — 50 units one way and 100 the other, purely because of the water. That is why you always run your own vial’s numbers.

They are mentioned here strictly as educational context — they are not a recommendation, and what is appropriate for you is a decision for your physician.
